About Us!
Our nonprofit organization was formed after providing services for six years in Ghana, West Africa. During that time we were supported by individuals who believed in our projects.Since our beginning, ZELCOWA has engaged in many activities to help students achieve their goals.
We have built libraries and science resource centers in Ghana, West Africa. We are currently sending books to rural schools.
We have contributed supplies and provided materials needed to expand a preschool located in a deprived area of Cape Coast, Ghana. In December 2011, we provided the final payment to purchase adjacent land so that additional classrooms may be built.
Over 150 students were able to attend Junior and Senior school through our scholarship program.
We have provided students with the basic materials required to attend elementary, junior high school and high school.
We are now providing scholarships to students attending Ghanaian Universities. They are awarded based upon a board review of our application including recommendations from teachers and volunteers within the communities.
We believe that the key to sustainable development is through education and diligently tracking our programs.
